Better known as Jimmy, I am a multidimensional being with layers of passion. My love for nature, health, mindfulness, and entertainment intersect in ways that promote a enriched life for myself and those around me. I aim to show up authentically, push societal norms, and embrace the passions of others.
I hold an Environmental Policy & Planning degree from The University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and have worked in conservation since 2015. I’ve been the Director of Green Steps since 2019, a nonprofit that organizes community litter cleanups and implements waste reduction & management education. In 2021, I had the honor of giving a TEDx Talk, titled “Let’s Talk Trash”, citing the perils of litter, waste, and what we can do about it.
Since my 200 Hour Yoga Teaching training in 2013 with The Chattanooga Yoga School, I have led over 1,000 hours of practice, including group classes, private sessions, special events, and retreat sessions. For 4 years, I’ve been the resident yogi at Common House Chattanooga, where I lead a weekly Wednesday 5:30pm class. I maintain a daily practice that keeps me grounded, physically well, and connected to spiritualism.
I began my entertainment career in 2022 with Top Talent Management, giving me space to explore acting, singing, dancing, and comedy. My love for being on camera and in front of live audiences is among my greatest joys, and aim to integrate my other passions into this realm.
As a gay man born and raised in Georgia, LGBTQ+ activism remains at the forefront of my mission. While tolerant bubbles exist in cities, there are large swathes of the world that do not feel safe for queer community members. I intend to continue breaking down barriers for my community in every arena I engage with.
In my spare time, you can find me wandering in the woods, swimming in creeks, traveling the world, dancing, singing at the closest karaoke bar, enjoying live music, and card nights with friends. I treasure time with my family, especially my mother who’s supported all of my endeavors. I’m blessed with a beautiful life, and trust that it will continue to blossom beyond my wildest dreams.
