Green Steps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Chattanooga, TN. Our mission is to eradicate litter reduce waste by means of education community cleanups. Since 2017, our thousands of volunteers removed 8,000+ bags of trash 2,000+ bulky items from Southeast Tennessee.

Since becoming the Executive Director in 2019, I’ve hosted nearly 100 litter cleanups in partnership with community leaders, city governments, corporate partnerships, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and Moon River Festival.

In 2022, we partnered with the City of Chattanooga to redevelop community recycling standards, including an educational campaign that made recycling more transparent and understandable.

While we operate on a grassroots budget, the impact of our efforts are invaluable to the communities we work with. Your donations allow us to continue making a difference!
